Experience at Rowan Technologies
From 2013 to 2019, I worked as a System Software Engineer at Rowan Technologies Limited. During my time there, I developed and implemented software to automate the analysis of corrosion data. This reduced processing time by 500% and improved accuracy by 20%. I also authored bespoke software for power station corrosion and thermal monitoring using Visual Basic and Python. The software I developed is shown below in an image that indicates corrosion rates on the boiler wall and remaining wall thickness. Additionally, I commissioned systems in the UK and South Korea to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction. I also built a mini automated scanner using Raspberry Pi and RS232 comms for remote data collection. Furthermore, I produced reports for power stations that were critical in the decision to switch from coal power to biofuel.
